What we do

This site exists to answer one question well: when are the UK bank holidays, and what do they mean for banking, work and travel? We keep dates scoped to a clearly labelled year, separate the four nations properly, and explain substitute days rather than hiding them in footnotes.

How we compile dates

Dates are taken from published UK bank holiday calendars for the 2026 year.
Each nation is listed separately, because entitlements genuinely differ.
Substitute days are shown explicitly with the reason they apply.
We review pages when holiday calendars are updated or amended.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any bank, building society or government department, and we do not display bank logos or branding. Bank names are used descriptively only.
