Worked example: Easter 2027, four leave days for ten days off
For a Monday–Friday employee who does not work on Good Friday or Easter Monday, book Monday 22 to Thursday 25 March 2027 as four days of annual leave. The break then runs from Saturday 20 March through Monday 29 March 2027: two weekends (four days), four booked working days, Good Friday and Easter Monday (two bank holidays). What the Christmas substitute days mean
Christmas Day falls on Saturday 25 December 2027 and Boxing Day on Sunday 26 December. Their substitute bank holidays are Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December respectively.
